Healthy Eats With Me

Breakfast

This morning I decided to make myself a peanut butter and banana smoothie.

Ingredients: 
1 cup of almond milk
2 tbsp of peanut butter
1 ripe banana 

You can use ice cubes or a frozen banana for thickness. I used about three ice cubes. Blend well and enjoy. 

Lunch

After my grueling back and bicep workout, I fueled my my muscles with broiled tilapia and steamed cabbage. I season my fish with Mrs. Dash garlic and herb, pepper, and extra virgin olive oil. Broiling on high for about 6 to 8 minutes.

Snack

I made this healthy snack of stuffed berries with almonds this afternoon. I cut the stems out of five large strawberries, added cream cheese, and a blueberry. I used one crushed pecan to garnish with eight unsalted almonds on the side.

Dinner

I made a stir fried couscous with chicken for dinner. This dish was very flavorful and simple to make. 

Ingredients: 
1 egg
1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
1/3 cup of yellow diced onion
2/3 cup of cooked sweet peas
2 tsp of low-sodium soy sauce
1 cup of cooked diced chicken 
2 cups of cooked couscous
2/3 cups of chopped baby portobello mushrooms

Dinner
