Upper Body Workout + Healthy Fuel

"To change your body, you must change your mind." I agree with this statement wholeheartedly! At first glance it appears cliché' but if you adjust your lens and look at it from a deeper perspective, a subtle shift in your way of thinking has already started to take place. Now compound upon that subtle shift and apply it to your health and fitness. It will help to foster in openness toward new ways of eating and exercise. It has helped me make moves that make a difference in my workout routines and meal choices.

In an effort to gain energy pre-workout, I started my day out with a good mix of carbohydrates and protein. I scrambled two whole eggs and one egg white with one tsp of shredded cheese. I paired it with 1/2 of a bagel and tea.

In this video, I'm performing sprints on the Elliptical cross-trainer, chest press holding my legs at a 45 degree angle, and tricep push-ups.

After my workout, I fueled my depleted muscles with a light jumbo scallop salad on a bed of mixed greens, English cucumbers, and feta cheese. I seared the scallops in extra virgin olive oil for 2 1/2 minutes per side finishing with a little teriyaki sauce.

Later on I snacked on celery and peanut butter with fresh fruit. I typically eat three meals and two snacks everyday.
