Leg Day + Breakfast

I break fast for a hearty and wholesome breakfast, especially when whole wheat French toast with fresh fruit and light syrup is the main attraction on the menu. French toast is one of my favorite breakfast choices, and the fresh fruit livened up the party in mouth! This meal was just what the doctor ordered, fueling my body with the energy necessary to engage a grueling lower body workout.

A workout, which consisted of back squats, static lunges, quadriceps extensions, and dead lifts to name a few of the exercises, I performed. My legs felt like linguine after it was all said and done! Fortunately, I was able to ice my legs for soreness right after my workout, due to the freezing cold temperature I endured on the walk to my car (LOL)! I'm still using the dumbbell routine I posted here finishing out week two Friday.

Remember, when you work hard you have to treat yourself right! After facing weighted resistance and embracing the frozen tundra of Tennessee it was only right to have stuffed pitas for dinner. I used leftover rotisserie chicken breast meat, lettuce, tomato, avocado, feta cheese, and 1/2 teaspoon of crumbled bacon. I topped my pita with one teaspoon of ranch dressing; it was simply beautiful and tasted delicious!
