Working Out Should Be Fun

Breakfast

I've been out of commission since this weekend due to cold I caught from my loving husband. Lol! So I was ecstatic to wake up with enough energy to get to the gym. I made myself a quick breakfast of rolled oats with boiled eggs.

A workout isn’t a workout without the tangy zest of motivation! Although strength and endurance training is meant to challenge you physically, that doesn’t mean it has to feel like work mentally.  Instead of curbing your enthusiasm and psyching yourself out before and during your workout, embrace the fatigue and watch how your endorphins fall in love with physical activity! Remember, enthusiasm is contagious, and in order to stay motivated incorporate subtle elements of spontaneity into your routine(s)! In other words, switch it up (Flipmode, Flipmode is the squad Busta Rhymes voice)!

In this video my gym partner and I are performing burpees using a bosu ball.

Lunch

After my workout I stopped by Publix, our local grocery store, to pick up a few things. While passing the deli this scrumptious salad caught my eye. It was called the southern cobb salad, containing pecans, cranberries, tomato, red onion, green onion, blue cheese, and chicken tenderloin on top of mixed greens. No salad dressing was needed for this flavorful meal.

Dinner

I made bun-less salmon burgers with fresh tomato, red onion, and avocado. I paired it with baked homemade sweet potato fries. It was delicious!
