Staring In My Rearview

Took a moment today to reflect on how far I've come in my health and fitness journey. I've advanced leaps and bounds from where I started, and learned valuable lessons about my body and myself throughout the process. I continue to explore the parameters and possibilities of improving my health, in an effort to take care of the temple God entrusts me with. I’ve experienced my share of highs and lows during my transformation, but the highs definitely out weigh the lows. I've never felt better in my life! 


Wall- Sit

Today was leg day at the gym. I performed squats, dead-lifts, fire hydrants, and donkey kicks to name a few. I end my workout with 4 sets of wall-sits, holding the position for 30 to 45 seconds. It will definitely light the fire in those quads, hamstrings, and glutes.




Tested my skills in between sets on the pull-up bar. I remember when I could only do 1. I Slowly built my strength and endurance to be able to complete 10 in one set. That took me months, but persistence paid off.
