Chop It Up

Tonight, I prepared a healthy version of smothered pork chops; utilizing two cans of Campbell Cream of Mushroom soup, and four large one inch thick center cut chops. I seasoned these beauties with kosher salt, garlic powder, and black pepper, searing them on medium high heat for three minutes on each side. I then removed them from the pan, and added in both cans of Cream of Mushroom soup to include two cups of water to create the gravy.

After it came to a simmer, I submerged the chops into the gravy on medium low for about 20 minutes. Please be mindful the amount of time for cooking may vary according to the thickness of your chops. My side items for this dish included steamed zucchini and whole grain stuffing. The entire family gave it two thumbs up!
