No gym No problem

I felt a little sluggish mid-morning right before my workout and decided to have a snack of greek yogurt with almonds. It was just what I needed to get me through my 1-hour workout. I don't use any pre-workout drinks or pills. The health industry seems to be pushing them heavy nowadays. I like to get all of my energy from foods. I find that this method works great for me and my budget.

I worked out today to my Jillian Michaels 30 day shred followed up by her six-week 6 pack DVD. My shoulders were still experiencing soreness from Saturday's full body workout. I find the best way to combat soreness is to continue to work through it; however, it's imperative to differentiate routine muscle soreness versus an injury. I would never recommend attempting to continue a workout if suffering from injury. 


I had a small snack around 3:30 consisting of whole unsalted almonds and 1/2 of a gala apple. Apples give you natural energy almost instantaneously. I'll take that over a red bull any day!
