Inspirational Insight: A Friend's Prayer

A Friend's Prayer

My Intercessor is my friend as my eyes pour out tears to God; on behalf of a man he pleads with God as a man pleads for his friend.
Job 16:20-21

My friend, who knows the Holy Spirit, prays for me, Lord.  I am comforted by this knowledge. I can be tumbling headlong into a hectic day of work, and all of a sudden realize I have been bathed in prayer. I receive peace from the efforts of another.

My words to You come from my heart and are meaningful through the Spirit's interpretation. Yet, I find deeper comfort knowing that a friend lifts up words to Your ears. She calls upon the Holy Spirit to hear her pleas on my behalf. I have a friend who knows Jesus, and we both have a friend in You. Thank You, Lord.
