Transitioning from Relaxed to Natural

I do not have a degree in Cosmetology which limits my expertise on transitioning from relaxed to natural hair. My own transition was not handled properly, because I didn't research enough on how to care for the two different textures. Primarily I’d wash and condition my hair, simply to turn around and throw it in a ponytail. Over the course of 4 months, I was losing more hair than I was retaining. Shampooing sessions became unbearable, mainly because I wasn't using the right products for my hair. After four months of transitioning, I decided to BC (big chop). If that is not the route you dare to go, there is a wealth of information and tips on how to transition successfully from relaxed hair without compromising your hairs health.
