Inspirational Insight

Everyone is blessed, but not everyone recognizes or accepts his or her blessings. Blinded by darkness greed fills our hearts and minds; rendering us clueless to the Divine Light that surrounds our existence. Instead of praising God for all that He's blessed us with, we complain of the type of blessing we’ve received.  For we focus solely on the blessings that feed our selfishness, but overlook the blessings that feed our spirit. We're happy to be fed until you put too much on our plate. Then we complain of the burden of having to figure out what to do with all that is leftover.

The term leftover not to be confused with "passed over" means something that remains unused or unconsumed. There is nothing wrong with leftovers, especially when referring to blessings. The more blessings we receive, affords us an opportunity to share our blessings with others. Only if the Rich Man would have given Lazarus a few crumbs from off of his table (Luke 16:19-31). The next time you lay your head down at night to go to sleep, instead of counting sheep or counting money; count your blessings, and then share your leftovers!
